This is a special Show edition of RASV News to launch an exciting program of online content and activities to celebrate the Royal Melbourne Show online this year from 19-29 September.

We begin a new month and new season hopeful that stage 4 COVID restrictions will end in the coming weeks and we can get back to the business of holding events for Victorians to enjoy with family and friends.

These are extraordinary times and since my June update, we have experienced another change with the return to stage three lockdown in Metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has had a significant impact on business and community confidence.

It has been an extraordinary first half of the year, even for an organisation that was founded in 1848! The past four months have been particularly challenging for The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV).

RASV President Matthew Coleman today announced the Board’s decision to appoint Mr Jenkins following CEO Paul Guerra’s resignation as he prepares to take on the role of CEO of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
